Chapter 19

HOMELAND SECURITY: THE UPS GUY HATES OUR FREEDOM

You know how sometimes you see something that from a distance appears to be deliciously edible, but when you actually get close to it, it turns out to be like an empty cardboard or Styrofoam container that at one time had a Big Mac and fries in it, but no longer has anything but paper and some empty ketchup thingies? So you scarf it down anyway, of course, hoping that there will be some trace of the Big Mac, but really all you get is cardboard?

That’s kind of like this chapter. It appeared, when I wrote the chapter title way back in the Table of Contents, that there was a Big Mac inside, but guess what? It’s just the cardboard.

So we will not be eating this chapter, after all. Or maybe we’ll eat it anyway, desperately hoping that there’s some food remnant in it, but there is not.

But that’s okay, because the next chapter actually contains real meat, or at least a real bone with some meat still clinging to it, which the humans were not skilled enough to remove, or too lazy to try.
